If there’s something weird about it, I’ll probably want to read it. More so if there’s metafiction in the mix. And if there’s good reason to call it literary too, I’ll be ready and waiting with a pencil, my Moleskine and a glass of red wine.

My preference is for speculative fiction (sci fi, fantasy, horror, magical realism, steampunk) and genre mash-ups, but I don’t limit myself to those – great stories transcend genre. However, I will say this – while I have nothing against books about relationships, if your novel is best described as romance, then don’t bother, unless you’re an emotional sadist with a need to abuse your ego by getting snarky reviews from people outside your target audience.
I currently have a rather daunting review backlog and admittedly I’m rather crap at keeping up with emails, so please forgive me if I don’t send a timely reply to your request or if it’s a while before a review is posted. If your book is something I think I might like, then don’t worry, I will make an effort to contact you and then read and review your work.
