I’m a South African currently living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I’ve got an Honours degree in English Literature from the University of Cape Town, where I fell in love with speculative fiction through courses on sci fi and fantasy. I particularly like stories based on folklore or mythology, and I’m always attracted to books with something weird or innovative about them.
Although I’ve reviewed a wider variety of fiction in the past, I’ve decided to streamline my blog by sticking to spec fic – sci fi, fantasy, horror, magical realism, etc. – from the literary beauties to the guilty pleasures.
Unfortunately I am not accepting review requests from indie and self-published authors at the moment. I have a massive backlog that I’d like to work through, not to mention a ton of review requests that I haven’t even replied to yet. Once I’ve whittled that down to something less shameful, I will consider new requests.
If you’d like to contact me for something other than an indie/self-pubbed review request, here’s how you can find me:

Found your blog through the guest post at Susanna’s blog…really nice work, do u also blog about your jewelry collection as well?
Thanks for dropping by Hellopalz 🙂 I don’t blog about my jewellery, although I’ve been thinking about it. Susanna will probably be the first to know if I do.
Heh, I feel exactly the same way about romances.
Nice blog.
To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever read a ‘romance’ novel unless something like Love in the Time of Cholera or The Unbearable Lightness of Being counts.
I wouldn’t call those romance!
I also don’t like romance novels and I’m pretty bad with emails too!
